10:00 Pia wakes up. Pia’s been ill – fever and just general miserableness. She’s content, but clingy.
11:00 Mama gives Pia Tylenol. Pia finally allows mama to make her own food and mamas starving. Food is almost done, Pia starts crying. Mama starts to go get her. Pia starts throwing up. Mama takes her to her room to change her – sets her in the crib. Pia throws up. Mama strips her and her bed, sets her on the floor. Pia throws up. Mama picks her up to comfort, Pia throws up on mama. Mama cries.
12:00 Mama gets Pia clean and happy, and is able to get some Mortin in her (fever is 102.6). Motin kicks in and Pia is happy. Uncle comes to visit for a while. Fun times.
1:00 Daddy comes home. Pia is happy. Mama and daddy lay Pia down for a nap. No go. They decide to take Pia to the clinic.
3:00 At the clinic, Pia’s temp is 103 – after only 3 hours of Motrin. Nurse gives Pia a dose of Tylenol. Pia doesn’t want the Tylenol. They shove it in her mouth and she spews it all over mama. It even gets in her eye! It’s all over her shirt. Mama wants to cry again, but refrains. Poor Pia has a double ear infection.
5:00 Family gets home, mama changes shirts, and eats dinner. Daddy gets McDonalds as a treat, hoping Pia will finally eat and to reward Nana for being so patient throughout the day. Pia still has a fever over 101, so mama gives Pia Motrin. Pia cries. Mama picks her up and rocks her. Pia throws up all.over.mama. In her hair, her ear, and all over her shirt, pants and shoes. Mama hands daddy the baby and tells him that SHE IS DONE. Mama cries. Again.
7:30 Mama sends daddy to go get Pia’s meds. Pharmacy tells daddy that Pia isn’t on our plan. Daddy pays $100 that we don’t have for the meds because the insurance is stupid. Meanwhile Mama bathes the kids and gets them ready for bed. She manages to get Pia to happily take Tylenol, which is a small miracle (and I don’t do miracles).
8:00 Kids are down. Finally. Mama cries again, just because.
