And it just gets better (more Palin, of course!)

So, what do you think? Should this matter? Does it matter to you? Is it just “one of those things” or does this show that she’s not balancing life and politics? Does this hurt her with the Christian set?

I don’t think that it SHOULD hurt her. Could it? Yes. You can raise a child anyway you want to but they are going to have a head of their own. I wish that politicians will keep family out of the game unless it actually will make a difference in how the politician will run his or her job.

What I really, really hope is that the media leaves this alone. Can you imagine being a 17-year-old, who’s pregnant while your mom is running for the second office in the land? Talk about pressure. I really hope this doesn’t become a campaign issue and that people respect the privacy of this teenager. She’s a kid, after all, and she didn’t choose to run for political office, her mom did.

I agree Tricia. But, to further that point, I think she should have refrained from running in light of this, to give her daughter some privacy during this time in her life. It’s really not fair for her.

I do think it will hurt her with the ultra-conservatives and likely make people not have as much faith in her. She’s very much campaigning on a morality platform, so this is bad news.

I do wonder if McCain knew!
